Cairo & Alexandria Stop Over
Day 1:
Arrive at Cairo Airport where our representative will meet and assist you through customs and then you claim your baggage. You will be transferred to your selected hotel for a free evening. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 2:
Today you will be transported back to the time of the ancient Egyptians. Our friendly guide will accompany you to the awe-inspiring Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza and then onwards to Sakkara to see the first pyramid ever built the Step Pyramid of Zosser. , back to hotel and overnight.
Day 3:
today you will be transported to enjoy the legendary treasures of the national museum of Egyptian civilization . Take a look at some of the most exquisite and ancient arte facts and statues in history. Then see the Islamic areas of Cairo including the Citadel of Saladdin- boasting the famous Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Then onto the Coptic area of Cairo where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon which is built over the ruins of two towers of the fortress the church of St Mary or more commonly known as the Hanging Church, followed by St Sergius which is said to be the resting place for the holy family. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 4:
In the early morning we depart towards Alexandria , ALEXANDRIA is lying northwest of the Nile Delta; it is the largest port in the Arab Republic of Egypt, one of the major summer resorts on the Mediterranean Sea.
Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world - now with 8 million books. Visit it's open court and free museums, followed by a visit to the Greco-Roman catacomb. Then a photo stop in the Site of the Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on which now stands the castle of Qaitbey. then we will drive to the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as the royal beaches of the queens. Continue your tour by a quick photo stop of the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, as well as the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.
Continue visiting the church of St. Mark - the oldest church in Africa before driving along the Cornish (30 km) to see the whole city of Alexandria from the sea side which includes the old harbor of Alexandria where we found 7000 monuments underwater.
Stop over the famous bridge of Stanley - the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, before start driving back to Cairo, overnight
Day 5:
Transfer to Cairo international airport for the final departure
