Cairo, Luxor , Aswan & Fayoum
Day1:
Arrive at Cairo Airport where our representative will meet and assist you through customs and then you claim your baggage. You will be transferred to your selected hotel for a free evening. Overnight at your Hotel.
Optional Dinner onboard a Nile cruise enjoying 2 hours sailing & entertainment program in the Nile
Or optional Sound & Light show in front of the Pyramids.
Day2: ” Cairo visits”
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then you will be transported back to the time of the ancient Egyptians. Our friendly guide will accompany you to the awe-inspiring Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. A stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. Then drive onwards to the Egyptian Museum. At the Egyptian Museum, you will walk through Egypt’s history chronologically and view the priceless treasures from all periods of pharaonic history, from the stone age to the pyramid age and of course the New Kingdom, including artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun. At the end you will be back to your hotel in Cairo for the overnight.
Day3: “Fly to Luxor & Luxor East Bank”
In the morning, check out form your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor.
Arrive at Luxor airport, where our representative will meet and assist you claim your baggage. You will be transferred to your selected Nile cruise. At the afternoon, you will be transported to visit Karnak Temple. More than a temple, Karnak is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons, statuettes and obelisks. Built on a grand scale, Karnak is probably Egypt's finest ancient temple. The drive to the illuminated Temple of Luxor where we enjoy a tour in the cool evening air. Overnight on board.
Day4: “Luxor West Bank”
Today, we visit Luxor's legendary West Bank - home to the famous Valley of the Kings, the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. See how the ancient Egyptians confounded tomb robbers with the construction of elaborate catacombs, once filled with treasures and highly decorated to allow the pharaoh passage to the afterlife. Then you will visit the great legendary temple of the most famous Egyptian queens, Queen Hatshepsut, back to the cruise and enjoy sailing to Edfu via Esna lock and overnight in Edfu on board.
Day5: “Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples”
After enjoying your breakfast while cruising up the Nile, visit the Greco Roman Temple of Edfu Temple by horse and carriage. Continue sailing towards the temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the two gods Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God enjoying free time and lunch. After visiting the temple continue sailing to Aswan and overnight on board.
Day6: ”Aswan visits”
Today your tour starts at the High Dam and its huge lake then take a short ferry ride to the Romantic and Majestic Philae Temple followed by a visit to the unfinished obelisk . At the afternoon enjoy sailing in a traditional felucca to visit Elephantine. Tonight you can explore the many bazaars and small streets of Aswan along the Nile. Overnight on board
Day7: “fly back to Cairo+ Cairo visits”
In case there is time, an Early morning optional visit to Abu Simbel temple.
Check out from your Nile cruise after breakfast. Then you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for a flight back to Cairo. Arrive and proceed to your chosen hotel to check in.
An afternoon visit to the legendary treasures of the National Museum of Egyptian civilization. Take a look at some of the most exquisite and ancient art facts and statues in history. Then, you will proceed to Old Cairo. This area of town is made up of the remnants of those cities which were capitals before Cairo, as well as some other elements from the city's varied history. You will tour the Coptic Cairo section which includes the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George and many other historical sites. It is believed that the Holy Family visited this area and the section was a stronghold for Christianity until the Islamic era. You will also visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue. According to local tradition, the Nile once flowed over the land the synagogue sits on, and there, in the reeds, baby Moses was found.
Back to your hotel & overnight in Cairo.
Day 8: “Fayoum adventure with a camping night”
You will be picked up from Cairo hotel in a 4x4 car to Fayoum Oasis for a small safari & camping adventure.
Visit LAKE QARUN: Less than two hours from Cairo, the vast salty Lake Qarun comes into view and the arid monotonous plains are replaced with a lush patchwork of farming plots, sunflowers swaying in the breeze, and tall date palms with water buffalo lounging in the shade beside them.
Visit The PETRIFIED FOREST: the largest Petrified Forest in the world, found here, is around 35 million years old. A Nice local lunch will be served.
Visit the BASALT QUARRY: are considered the source of stone used on the temple floors and walls in Ancient times.
Visit AL-RAYAN VALLEY: The 'waterfalls' in the Wadi Rayan Protected Area, a major attraction for weekend picnickers from Cairo. Camping and a night stay in the desert under the stars with a barbeque dinner
Day 9:
A delicious local breakfast will be served. Then we Visit VALLEY OF THE WHALES: This Unesco World Heritage Site is home to the earliest prehistoric whale fossils ever discovered. The more than 400 skeletons found here are around 40 million years old.
Drive back to Cairo, arrive and transfer to your chosen hotel.
Day10:
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
