Egypt’s Treasures & Adventures
Day1:
Arrive at the international airport of Luxor where you will be met by our representative who will assist you and transfer you to your chosen hotel.
Day2: “Luxor visits”
After breakfast at your hotel, you will start visiting Luxor's legendary West Bank - home to the famous Valleys of the Kings, the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. See how the ancient Egyptians confounded tomb robbers with the construction of elaborate catacombs, once filled with treasures and highly decorated to allow the pharaoh passage to the afterlife. A stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. Then you will visit the great legendary temple of the most famous Egyptian queen, Queen Hatshepsut, a stop for a nice lunch in a local restaurant.
Then we will continue the day visiting Karnak Temples. More than a temple, Karnak is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons, statuettes, and obelisks. Built on a grand scale, Karnak is probably Egypt's finest ancient temple. A stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. Then drive to the illuminated Temple of Luxor where we enjoy a tour in the cool evening air. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Luxor
Day3: “Drive to Esna to check in onboard the Dahabiya”
In the morning, we will head to Esna by car (50 km south), Check-in at the dahabiya, and start sailing heading to El-Hegez where you will enjoy a walk through a small village, and the boat will stay there for the night.
Day 4:
Sailing to El-Kab Necropolis, the ancient city of Nekheb, where you can see the remains of the temple and the tombs. After that sailing to Edfu city where you visit the beautifully preserved temple of Horus that has been buried under the desert for hundreds of years. Then set sail for a small island near Edfu and the boat will stay there for the night.
Day 5:
Sailing to Besao island where you will enjoy a walk through the island and see the people's life and fishing boats. After that sailing visit Gebal El-Selsela where the cliffs on both sides are close to the narrowest point along the length of the entire Nile. Then heading to a near island where the boat will stay for the night.
Day 6:
Sailing to Kom Ombo city where we will visit the double temple of Haroeris and Sobek. After that sailing to Daraw where we will walk through the village and visit the Daraw markets. Then the upgoing sailing trip will continue to the Nubian village of El-Koubania, near Aswan.
Day 7:” Aswan visits”
You will check out In the morning after breakfast on board and then start the visits in Aswan, you will start the day with a visit to the High Dam and its huge lake then take a short ferry ride to the Romantic and Majestic Philae Temple. A stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. Then a visit to the unfinished obelisk. By the end of the day, you will have the time to enjoy the beautiful Nubian village.
In the evening you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for a flight to Cairo. Arrive and transfer to your chosen hotel.
Day 8:” Cairo visits”
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then you will be transported back to the time of the ancient Egyptians. Our friendly guide will accompany you to the awe-inspiring Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. A stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. Then drive onwards to the Egyptian Museum. At the Egyptian Museum, you will walk through Egypt’s history chronologically and view the priceless treasures from all periods of pharaonic history, from the stone age to the pyramid age and of course the New Kingdom, including artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun. At the end, you be back to your hotel in Cairo for the overnight.
Day 9:
You will be picked up from Cairo in a 4x4 car to Fayoum Oasis for a small safari & camping adventure.
Visit LAKE QARUN: Less than two hours from Cairo, the vast salty Lake Qarun comes into view, and the arid monotonous plains are replaced with a lush patchwork of farming plots, sunflowers swaying in the breeze, and tall date palms with water buffalo lounging in the shade beside them.
Visit The PETRIFIED FOREST: the largest petrified forest in the world, found here, is around 35 million years old. A picnic Lunch will be served.
Visit the BASALT QUARRY: is considered the source of stone used on the temple floors and walls in Ancient times.
Visit AL-RAYAN VALLEY: The 'waterfalls' in the Wadi Rayan Protected Area are a major attraction for weekend picnickers from Cairo. Camping and night stay in the desert under the stars with a barbeque dinner
Day 10:
A delicious local breakfast will be served. Then we Visit VALLEY OF THE WHALES: This Unesco World Heritage Site is home to the earliest prehistoric whale fossils ever discovered. The more than 400 skeletons found here are around 40 million years old.
Drive back to Cairo, arrive, and check in at your chosen hotel.
Day11:
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
